Senior Associate Lawyer: Full-time: In Person
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee junior associates and articling students, providing mentorship, training, and accountability
- Handle a diverse caseload independently and effectively
- Review and supervise junior lawyers’ work to ensure high-quality service
- Work directly with clients, providing clear, strategic advice and representation
- Contribute to the growth and leadership of the firm
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances and negotiations
- Conduct thorough research on legal issues and case law using tools such as LexisNexis
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, briefs, and pleadings with precision and clarity
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, ensuring their best interests are represented
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting clients’ cases
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to strategize case approaches and share insights
- Provide clients with sound legal advice based on thorough analysis of their situations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years post-call in Alberta
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- Proven ability to manage files independently
- Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience is an asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills
- Ambitious, disciplined, and ready to grow within a rising firm
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple cases simultaneously

Support Team
Legal Assistant: Full-time: In Person
Job Description
The Legal Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks including:
- Maintaining filing system, client trackers and creating processes to ensure ease of reference
- Maintaining client files in paper and electronic form
- Filing, photocopying, mailing and other clerical functions as required
- Maintain the daily calendar, planning and scheduling of meetings, taking client calls
- Prepare basic e-mail/fax/Court correspondence, documentation and communications
- Perform client file opening and closing procedures
- Attend meetings as required and take minutes
- Assist with invoicing, billing and accepting payment from clients
- Basic legal drafting as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum three years of experience working in a legal administrative support role
- A diploma from a Legal Assistant Program is an asset, but is not required
- Able to provide fulsome support to more than 1 lawyer
- Highly competent in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Impeccable organizational skills are needed to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Must be a self-starter, and a critical thinker
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to organize their work with efficiency and patience
Experience:
- Legal administrative: 3 years (preferred)
